08 Amazing Grace After a tumultuous 2009 we are very happy that another year of the Lean Santa Claus is about to come to a head! Even though the economy has about wrecked us the Spiritual light of love,compassion and kindness burns even brighter in our lives, This is my 65th birthday and I feel very blessed at the relationships, friendships and out and out loves of my life this year. Even though 2009 will go down as a year when the movies generally sucked, Avatar, Sherlock Holmes and Compound 9 kept my imaginative juices flowing! May the season bless you all with the spirit of hope, happiness and harmony and may you always find love or at best may love always find you.. or as Mason Lee Dixon used to say, ” Love lights all pathways, may you never walk in darkness!” Oh and by the way…The great light of 2009 is the voice of Susan Boyle, here singing Amazing Grace! Talk about purity,humility and gentleness and you have to be moved by her presence on the world musical scene! I have never encountered such a singer in the entire of my radio Dee Jay career!

I’m back and better than ever! Distractions are always pleasant! I have been discussing astrology and life with a lovely young couple from Sydney,Australia. Exchanging notes, books,and charts,generally getting to know one another. I am also building a network on Facebook. So I haven’t been frivolous! I promise. In a couple of days I will begin my explanation of the 12 signs of the Zodiac as we continue with foundational material.
I don’t know about you but I was disappointed in the Academy’s choices for 2008! Angelina’s work in Changeling and Brads work in Button over looked. Sean Penn was excellent but…….anyway, what can I say about opinions! We all have our own. Slumdog Millionaire I haven’t seen nor The Reader but I will do so, soon.
I must say Facebook eats up the time but I have enjoyed meeting a varied group of people from all over the globe. I am also reading 5 books simultaneously! Pluto is closing fast on my Sun and I look it! I am doing about two miles every other day and helping us keep afloat here in Kenfunky so I guess my plate is very full. Stick with it and I promise to get better at this as time goes along.

The new Year is under way, in a good way. Isakipkia has flown away to South Dakota amid a cloud of sweet grass and sage. Marissa is gessoing a canvas and getting back to her art. Yeah! I am working on my Astrology and Tarot notes and also on a new project which will be a surprise. Ashis is snowboarding in Canada and having the time of his life. Liz is smiling and dreaming for the future and the rest of the crew are knuckling down for the creative New Year predicted. Went to see Bolt with my 9 year old nephew, Gabe. Good stuff. He loved it. I am still awaiting to take Marissa to see Benjamin Button. Timing is everything. Michael Louis and I are going to get around to Pod-casting sometime this week. Hang Loose! This could be the BIG TIME. Marissa is also creating a killer bean soup, even as I write. I have been walking a mile every day since Jan. ONE. Have a 20 dollar bet with Melanie and I aim to collect. Three times a week, at least, from now til Valentine’s day. HEH HEH little does she know that she has lost the 20 bucks. This is a cinch. Been humming the Beatles’ song, “When I’m 64″ since the 25th of Dec. Good Medicine.
